Over the past year Cloward H2O has taken part in the design process of a local splash pad/waterpark developed by the city of Springville. It has been an amazing experience working with all those involved, primarily the architectural firm MGB+A and the contractors J. Lyn Roberts and Sons. After months of hard work and late nights making sure that everything came together perfectly we can finally see the fruits of our labor. Springville Civic Center Waterpark opened last Saturday with an official ribbon cutting by Mayor Wilford W. Clyde. There were many people that showed up eager to get wet and have some fun.
The whole feature includes a waterfall, a winding river which was created to represent the real life Hobble Creek that runs through the city of Springville, multiple spray jets alongside the river and a splash pad with over 40 separate spray jets. There is also an adjoining fountain that is just the right height for toddlers to splash around in. With grassy lawns, picnic tables and a nearby playground, this park is the perfect place to bring the family together to cool off from the summer heat.
Reporters from The Daily Herald showed up for event and wrote a piece that nicely describes the park and all its amenities. They even mentioned Cloward H2O halfway through! Check it out here.
