Discovery Place Renovation

As part of Discovery’s Place $31 million renovation the “World Alive” exhibit was designed to teach patrons about the biodiversity of our planet. The culmination of the exhibits can be found in the Aquarium gallery, which features the environment of the North Carolina coastal region. Aquarium exhibits expanded from 8,000 gallons to 24,000 gallons of various tanks. Exhibits include moon jellies, a reef tank with natural coral, a Gulf Stream Tank.
