CLOWARD H2O just returned from the week long Aquality II Symposium which was held at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. The event was the 2nd International symposium of water quality and water treatment in zoos and aquariums. The purpose of the symposium was to bring together experts from around the world to discuss and share information about water use and management in aquaria and zoological parks. Every aspect of water treatment and water quality was discussed with the intent to correlate information into one source which will be released as a peer reviewed manual (estimated release date of said manual is 2017).

Topics such as; Ultrafiltration, Foam Fractionation, Ultra Violet Processing in Aquatic LSS, Nitrification in Marine Aquaria, Ozone in Aquaria, Various forms of Filtration (Activated glass media, bead, drum, etc), and numerous other topics were presented during the symposium. Our own Corry Cloward even presented a lecture on “Open and Semi-Open Aquatic Life Support Systems – The Atlantis Case Study”.

The overall event turned out to be a huge success and CLOWARD H2O is delighted to have had the opportunity to attend the symposium and share thoughts and insight with industry professionals from around the world.

This week (Oct. 28-29) we are attending the WWA Show in Las Vegas at booth #530.
